Decades and octaves (Saterday, 12 June, 2021)
Just finished my post trying to explain frequency decades and (one-third) octaves. I even made a R script to produce the frequency tables and the plots. Also lots of equations. Fun.
The one-third octave bands you see, for example, appearing on graphic equalizers such as this DBX 231S dual channel, 31-band 1/3-octave constant Q frequency bands. Do you want to understand where these frequencies come from? Visit my post [here].
