Cloud: website hosting and backup
Currently, I host my website at Hoasted using their WordPress hosting services. I use Strato Hidrive for backup and for Mixclub-22.
HiDrive allows multiple user and/or multiple connection protocols (e.g, sftp/ftps, webdav, git) depending on the subscription you use. I use the HiDrive app (Webdav) and FTPS (TLS/SLL) with Filezilla to connect to HiDrive. The FTPS connection is also used for backup with the GoodSync backup program.
The Hoasted WordPress Business subscription allows you to build and configure your own website(s). The Business subscription provides sufficient diskspace and speed. It allows to connect through (s)FTP to, for example, manually make changes or to download Akeeba backups. You can install any plugin you want to use. A default WordPress installation comes with a few basic themes which, for me didn’t provide sufficient flexibility. Therefore, I bought the Avada theme.
I also registered my domain with Hoasted, i.e., www.skippystudio.nl
