Cubase signal flow
Cubase offers large flexibility when it comes its signal routing options. Below the signal flow for an audio track (or basically any other track) to Stereo Out.
Image 1. Cubase signal flow with Control Room disabled. An Audio Track is shown as an example, but this can also be an Instrument Track or an FX Track. Within the Channel Strip, the six modules can be arranged in any order. Pre-fader Inserts (plugins) can be placed either before or after the Channel Strip, and each Insert allows Stereo/Mono routing. Cue Sends are not shown here; they function similarly to regular Sends but are usually not routed to an Output channel other than Stereo Out. The Metronome is always routed to Stereo Out or to a separate output channel. Sends are routed to an FX Track, while both the FX Track and the post-pan signal are routed to Stereo Out in this example. However, they can also be routed to another Output channel or Group Track. Listen mode is not available in this configuration.
