Long time since last message but I have been busy with Ever Mysterious. The guitar parts were re-recorded by Bas van Kampen. It now also includes much better backing vocals. Still working on the Hammond parts. Will provide some soundclips in the coming few days.
I have also update SpectraLayers to version 7.0 which now include AI to unmix a song into vocals, piano, bass, drum, and other instruments. It is not perfect but the best I have seen so far. Moreover, it is fully automatic and the process only takes less than a minute. See here for a demo.

After finalizing Fresh Start I received feedback from several persons and from mixing fora. Therefore, I made a new version of Fresh Start that I now consider finalized. I think it is an improvement. Enjoy!

I will probably make one final iteration following comments on the mix (synchronisation of rap, glueing together the mix and the vocals, …..)
In the meanwhile I also started on Ever Mysterious again. I now have all the vocal tracks I need (thanks to Montel Moore and Karlijn de Vries) and now have to make a mix. Just a fragment for now:

A month ago since I last reported. Still no progress on Full of Feeling although i reharmonized part of the song. Have been working of Fresh Start however. Here is a small part. Hope to finalize the song within 1 or 2 weeks.

I have also purchased a license for Spectralayers Pro 6 from Steinberg. SpectraLayers is a visual editing system for audio in the time-frequency domain. It is amazing what this tool allows you to do many audio manipulations that are impossible to do in the separate time or frequency domain. It also nicely integrates with Cubase and Wavelab through ARA 2, which is an extension for audio plugin interfaces.
